Winslow Lions 10K Run - Running in Winslow

Marshals are at all intersections and there are 2 water stations around the course.

A testing race at the end of the winter as it is not that flat and has a big hill at the end. The marshall's were super friendly and it was a well organised event.

Normally I would wear headphones for a race but I am glad you weren't allowed for this race as it was a beautiful scenic run with a good atmosphere. Be prepared for juicy hill at the end.

Coming out of the cold winter this was a lovely scenic 10k for my first race of the year. Also the marshalls were excellent when I had a little stumble.  

This event is fantastic, well organised lovely scenic run, nice one to start the year. Forms part of our club championship. 

Only my 2nd organised event but have attended a few with my husband and thought Winslow was very well organised. Enough Marshalls and toilets well done to all involved x

Was well organised,with friendly,helpful people in charge and very friendly runners.The course was a lovely undulating route through the countryside in what turned out to be early sumer weather in winter! The last hill was a brutal one to finish the run and my legs off! Will return next year to beat my time.

For a February event, the weather was particularly amazing (around 16c by the end!) The organisation was excellent and I would want to run again - very good event!

Would have been nice to get a pre-race e-mail with reminders of parking locations, registration and catering facilities offered.

A great local race, well organised and a nice course. Be prepared for the hill at the end!

The final hill was nowhere near as bad as everyone was implying. Nothing much to be concerned about.

A great course this one. I have returned now 5 years and my 10k PB was done on the Winslow 10k. Just watch the hill at the end. 

The course was fine, the only problem was my lack of fitness.

Happy with the information provided regarding the course pre-race, so nothing springs to mind in terms of improvements.

i loved the race. the marshals were excellent and the course was fab. I live in Winslow so it was great to run so close to home. the only thing that really upset me was at the end (i was 3rd from last in). No t-shirt, no water, no 'well done'.  I felt a total lack of respect for the last runners home. we'd paid the same entry. and run the same course, but were treated differently. I emailed a gent who explained that he'd made a conscious decision to not order more t-shirts, but would deliver a bottle to me of i wanted one. it spoiled the end of the race immensely.Im over it now, its only a t-shirt after all, and i'll probably run it next year, but it would be nice to have a discounted entry fee if there isn't going to be the same goody bag as the faster runners.

I found it a bit tricky to find the race headquarters but other than that enjoyed the whole event. Would do it again. 

I enjoyed this run. It starts off with a nice downhill which should be taken advantage of. 

My second year running at Winslow. I love the course and the food after really makes it great.I hope to run it again next year

Lovely local 10k- thoroughly enjoyed! Would have liked a technical T-Shirt rather than cotton, but that is a minor detail.

Very frustrating that the organisers ran out of medals and goodie bags for the finishers. I know I was one of the last finishers, but it is a huge morale drop to complete the course and to a) find no-one left at the end other than the time-keeper and b) nothing to take away at all as a souvenir... particularly when the entrance page said there would be a t-shirt and medal for all finishers. A total lie.

Really Enjoyed it, Nothing i wished id known before, dress according to the weather, but remember you will warm up. Everyones probably saying it but save something left for the last hill as your going to need it. And just enjoy it.

Probably the only thing, is the queue for the t-shirt or water bottle send longer than I think it needs to be. I think this was due to the fact it also was a post race water stop, so people were at the collection point longer than need to collect just their goody, so maybe have water somewhere else.But great event I'll be back next year
