The first in the Winter Build-Up series, this event takes runners across a beautiful guided 6k trail. The run takes you through stunning woodlands, open ridge-lines of the Chiltern Hills, and is the perfect opportunities to learn trail running techniques.
The event is designed for those who are trying to build up to a 10k trail run, or even those just looking to get out there and run this spring.
There will be 2 paces for runners, 5-7km and 8-11km an hour on the flat or road, your pace will determine the group the organiser places you in. The event is inclusive to new runners and also those who are regularly out on the trails.

Ashridge House is just 40 minutes North West of London with train links from Euston. The nearest train stations are Tring and Berkhamsted where there are taxi ranks available.

What do I need to bring to the Winter 10k Build-Up Series - April?
Trail shoes and a face mask (to help prevent the spread of COVID) are necessities for this event. A sweat-wicking top and shorts or leggings are perfect. Weather permitting, you will also need to bring a lightweight waterproof jacket, cap, warm hat and gloves. You'll need to carry your mobile phone in case you get lost. A running backpack, water bottles, nutrition, whistle, personal first aid kit.
What run paces does the Winter 10k Build-Up Series - April cater for?
Runners should be able to run either 5-7km and 8-11km an hour on the flat or road. Based on your running pace, the event organiser will group you into different paces.
