Did the 10K in 2019
This was my very first 10k after taking up running only two months earlier for the first time in my life! It gave me the taste for running and I’m doing my 7th of 10 x 10ks this coming Sunday with my running partner Ami Knight. We’re now running 10x10ks and a half marathon in 2019 to raise funds for Claire House children’s Hospice . We decided to challenge ourselves after doing this event as we walk back to our cars! I have just recently achieved a Pb of under 47 minutes. I’m 54 years old and if I can do it anyone can, I feel fitter than ever and these 10ks are a great way of challenging yourself. I would recommend them to anyone, great organisation and encouragement topped great finishers medal 🏅.… read more

Route description
Route description

This is an out and back course, starting at Wirral Country Park. The route takes you along the coastal Wirral Way trail path to West Kirby, where you turn back on yourself and finish where you started. Although you aren't right on the cliff edges overlooking the Dee Estuary, you will be able to smell the sea and feel a refreshing sea breeze.

At the turning point, there will be a Water and Nutrition station.
