Route information
100k
Those who have tackled the Ride the Night event in the past will find the 100k route very similar to previous years.
This circular route starts and ends at the Royal Windsor Racecourse. Riding past Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, the West-End theatres and many more iconic landmarks, this course will give you a tour of London under the night lights.
50k
While the 50k ride starts at the Royal Windsor Racecourse, you'll find yourself gliding over the finish line in the midst of central London.
Don't worry about finishing in London though, a free shuttle bus will take you and your bike back to Windsor after your triumphant night of racing.
Sponsorship Funding
Participants pay a non-refundable registration fee of £45 which is used to secure your place on the event.
There’s no minimum sponsorship target or deadline, but please aim for £100 or more, so that your challenge can make a difference for people affected by cancer.
The money you raise is split evenly between the three charities and will go a long way to help them continue their vital work in a critical time...
£30 could buy a bottle of specialist dye to stain cancer cells, so that Ovarian Cancer Action’s researchers can study them with a microscope.
£100 can enable Breast Cancer Now to send out another 1,000 leaflets to GPs to promote breast checking and inform about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
£500 will enable Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust to provide a weekend of training to two new Helpline volunteers supporting hundreds of women.
Join the 500 club!
If you raise £500 or more by 29th March 2023, you will get a free official 500 club cycling jersey.

Too many dangerous potholes and badly lit narrow roads. Had a bad accident as a result

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the ride.Points for future planning possibly - Start waves may need a little more organisation.Potholes were an issue for the road bikes in particular - Maybe more to be made of cycle etiquette and riders warning others when they see potholes etc. However, neither point will put me off taking part again ;)

The 50k route was awful - lacking in atmosphere, uninteresting, no landmarks and at times it felt unsafe, as there was nobody around. We even got flashed at by some guy. I did the 50k last year and it was so much better. Will I do this again? Not with the current route.

Absolutely fantastic event! Very well organised, the route is very well signposted, marshals at the more “tricky” areas of the route and just an all around electric and fun event! I can’t wait to do it next year!

Well organised. Well lit route with great signage. Sadly many roads had pot holes but nothing organiser's could do about this 😕. A bit misleading on information and phone app about fundraising and being eligible for a free cycling shirt. The one advertised on phone app was not the one received.

We last did the event in 2019, it was fantastic, the atmosphere the amount of participants, the show girls, the route was fabulous. This time the amount of traffic lights we had to go through was horrendous and the one set we didnt have time to get across and we ended up in a heap in the rd they changed to quickly. The pot holes and glass seemed a lot this time, we will try Manchester next time not London. Thank you for your organisation. X

First timer. Really well signposted and marshalled. Very supportive volunteers at the start and the feed stations. A bit chaotic at the start, but I’m not sure you can avoid that - everyone was just eager to get going. Would have been nice to see some progress markers - like you have reached half way, only 5 km to go etc. would do it again, I think 🤔
