This was my first ultra and I really enjoyed it. The Wye Valley is eye-wateringly beautiful and the course really showed it off. The regular and well stocked checkpoints were excellent, and the volunteers managing them were cheery and helpful. There were a few occasions where the course was not as clearly marked as it should have been, but it caused no issues. Perhaps some locals shifted the arrows. The last minute change of route on the Thursday threw an extra element of difficulty with the rather unpleasant loop heading away from the finish, but that's just part of the challenge I guess. Nevertheless, the extra few km it added on allowed me to practice some swear words I rarely get the chance to use.All in all, a very good race. Thanks to all involved!

Overall good, but the course was short and parking organisation wasn't smooth.

Very well run event, great route. Could be a bit longer, closer to the 50m mark perhaps.

At least 100 runners only completed 12.25 miles of the half marathon due to signage . Those completing the shorter distance still received prizes despite not running the full course or its elevation. I raised this with the organisers and they subsequently blocked me which was totally unprofessional. I made a complaint which was not fully addressed. The organisation made it mandatory to carry uneccessary kit on the half marathon which in all the trail half’s I’ve done I’ve never had to do this before . Really disappointing race which I travelled 300miles for

Loved the event, and apart from the timing chips turning up late, the organisation was excellent. Will definitely recommend this event

Great course well marked out and well stocked checkpoints. Only negative no kit checks and it was plain to see some people didn't have all the mandatory kit.

The course was set along a beautiful riverside. The route marking was very clear to follow. I enjoyed the experience of running alongside canicross runners. The atmosphere was vibrant.
