The Marathon and Half Marathon courses will take runners on a lovely and varied route featuring quiet country lanes, forest track, old railway paths, and old railway tunnels.

This out-and-back 10k route features quiet country lanes and the Floral Mile lined with wildflowers for the first kilometer before reaching the Tidenham Tunnel for 3k. After leaving the tunnel there'll be a lovely stretch of forest paths and then the drinks station at 5k where runners will turn around and head back to Wyedean School.

The 6k route will loop around the Wye Valley Greenway following quiet country lanes and old railway paths. There will be a beautiful stretch of the route along the Floral Mile which is lined with wildflowers.

Age Requirements
There are various age requirements for this event, which are as follows:
- 6k - 12 and over
- 10k - 15 and over
- Half Marathon - 17 and over
Cut-off Times
There are no cut-off times for this event, however, please note that this event is not open to people who intend to walk the entire route. A mixture of walking, jogging and running is of course allowed.
Water Station
There will be 1 water station on the 10k route and 3 water stations on the Half Marathon route.
Prize Categories
The final number of prizes awarded is determined by the number of finishers for each gender in a given race distance. If there are more than 100 finishers then the full range of awards are on offer. If there are less than 50-100 finishers then the top 3 finishers overall will be awarded a prize. If there are less than 50 then only the winner will be awarded a prize. The organiser does not have any winner's prizes for any of the children's events as they would like to keep it participation focused.

Spectators are likely to be permitted at the event, but runners should be prepared to attend the race without spectators incase the guidance changes.

Can I bring my buggy/pushchair to the Wye Valley Tunnel Run?
Yes, buggies are welcome at the event, but it asked that you start near the back of the race.
How old do I have to be to enter the Wye Valley Tunnel Run?
Entrants must be 15 and older to enter the 10k and 12 and older to enter the 5k.
Is there a cut-off time for the Wye Valley Tunnel Run?
No, there is no cut-off time, and if runners choose to jog part of the route and walk part of the route thats great! Please note that the event is not suitable for only walkers.
