XC 10km, Half Marathon & 10km Canicross

This 10km race takes in one circuit of Fritton Lake. The course takes in areas that are not normally accessible to the public. Please do not attempt to access these areas at any times outside of the event. The route starts on the pathways in the park before going on to the driveway through the Woodland Retreats. It then turns off onto paths and trails that are normally private. Much of the route is on woodland pathways and the edges of fields. Due to the close proximity of the lake some areas are always muddy. There are areas of meadow that may be cut in places to an agricultural standard, whilst a few areas of longer vegetation may remain. This is a cross country event and as such the terrain will be uneven, wet, muddy and contain hazards such as tree roots, fallen branches etc . Please note that whilst the majority of the course is off road
there is a short section at the beginning and at the end on tarmac driveway and quiet country roads. In respect of the access we have been given for this event we ask that
competitors refrain from leaving any litter or other belongings along the route. This also includes clearing up behind your dog, even when racing!
