This ride starts in Skipton and eases riders in with a gentle 6k before the first climb - part tarmac, part gravel at 5.7k averaging 4.5%. Waiting on the other side of the climb is a descent into remote moorland into the heart of the Dales. Most of the ride will take riders in and around Malham Tarn on hard-packed gravel and dirt. Picturesque views will follow riders making for a picture-perfect background.
The next 30k sees some rolling sections, but no massive hills, before the second main climb of the door - 1.5k at 11%.
After one more feed station the route heads back into Skipton over one final climb and roll into the race village.
