Route information
Long Route
Starting in Duncombe Park, this 162k route sees riders reach a staggering elevation of up to 3389m.
The climbing starts almost immediately with some short, sharp climbs before hitting the first of 5 top 100 climbs at 39k.
At 70k you will hit a local classic and the toughest climb of the day - Caper Hill (1.3k but with an average of over 14% gradient). Straight after this comes the famous Rosedale Chimney.
The last part of the route is another challenging section starting with White Horse Bank (another climb averaging over 10%) before Boltby Bank followed by a descent home for a very hard-earned finisher's medal.
Medium Route
This 100k loop route in the Moors is packed with plenty of climbing and glorious views. Starting in Duncombe Park, the first 15k will consist of a challenging 15k climb, followed by an easier section on quiet Yorkshire back lanes and wild moorland.
The toughest climbs come near the end with two top 100 ascents to get over. At 66k you will hit White Horse Bank (1.7km at 10%) and then at 81k, you'll take on the toughest climb of the day – Boltby Bank (averaging over 13%).
