Come and run a chip timed 5k, 10k, Half Marathon or marathon around the flat and fast Bedford Autodrome.

Designed from scratch by former F1 driver Jonathan Palmer, there is nowhere else in the world like Bedford Autodrome. Join us for a unique opportunity to run a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon or Full Marathon at the one and only Bedford Autodrome and enjoy the thrill of running a brand new course and racing your way to a new chip timed personal best on this smooth traffic free tarmac motor racing circuit!

Shelford Fun Run

The Shelford Fun Run will return on Sunday 16th September 2018. This year there will be chip timing!

The purpose of the event is to raise money for local causes and charities. The 5km course runs through the streets of Shelford and, with the roads closed for the duration of the event, it is a rare opportunity to really enjoy the sights and sounds of a beautiful English village. The course has been accurately measured and certified to be 5k.

Silsoe Stride

The Silsoe Stride is set within the magnificent grounds of Wrest Park and neighbouring farmland. This provides for a very scenic 5K and 10K race, ideal for runners of all abilities including those new to running, with a gently undulating route where you can Run, Walk or Jog. Within the 10K race there are a few hills. Our fun, friendly atmosphere ensures everyone has a great time, with a popular Childrens Fun Run also on the day.

The Newmarket Classic Run

The Classic Run Series will culminate with the Newmarket Classic Run events. In this addition of the series we head south to the attractive market town of Newmarket, situated on the Suffolk/ Cambridgeshire border. Newmarket is widely considered throughout the world as the home of horseracing.

Run Orwell

After a successful first year we are pleased to be back again in 2019. Offering chipped timed 10K and 5K routes, and a 2K fun run, there will be something for everyone. It will be a multi terrain course showing off some of Cambridgeshire's most beautiful countryside.
This event will raise valuable funds for the village school, Petersfield Church of England Aided Primary School.
Both events will start and finish in the village of Orwell, at the recreation ground.

What you need to know about Beginner Friendly Running Events

Whether you’re completely new to running or just getting back into the swing of things, we’ve got some great race recommendations to get you started. Chosen by our team, these are some of our favourite events for first-timers. 5k races & 10k races are perfect for beginners, they tend to be relatively flat (always check the elevation just in case) and there’ll usually be a great crowd to cheer you on.

Find the right running event for you

To keep motivated try to run with friends and to organise a race a few months away as something to work towards. Running as a sport is very inclusive, people love to chat and give a boost to those around them! Practice makes perfect so with the right training you can achieve anything. Start small and it won’t be long before you’re a total professional tackling the bigger races.
