Welcome to Velio Festival. Located in the stunning grounds of Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire, we’ve created a jam-packed programme for the entire family to enjoy. Paradise-by-bike
With stunning countryside routes surrounding the festival site, the castle and beyond, plus our fun-filled party ride ‘Velutopia’, you can expect beautiful rides, party pit stop zones, start & finish line celebrations and a buzzing carnival atmosphere.
Up for a challenge? There are some great, longer distance routes for more experienced riders.
Music & Comedy
We have four amazing stages of music and comedy and plenty more to fuel the fun over the weekend. Watch the legendary Sister Sledge and Everything Everything headline our mainstage, check out the Disco Classical live orchestra at a glitter-infused La Discothéque party, chill out in the Velio Village at the secret jazz café, or have a laugh with Jason Manford and others over at our comedy stage. The choices are endless.
Refuel & Relax
Worked up an appetite? Communal feasting is at the heart of the festival, and do we have some feasts in store for you! Refuel and reward yourself after your day’s activities with everything from long table banquets and multi-course extravaganzas to quick bites and tasty street food in our Great Feast Village. Thirsty for more? Whet your whistle with craft ales and wine tastings or wake up with delicious artisan coffee.

Ideal for kids
Not leaving the little ones out, there’s a full programme of kids comedy, music, games, activities and even a kids wellness programme. Plenty to keep them happy all weekend long!
Mind & Body
Expect sunrise yoga, post-ride massages, meditation, dog therapy (yes, cuddling dogs is good for you!), performance breathwork and so much more. The wellness programme takes place in Lady Cholmondeley’s beautiful gardens.
Outdoor activities
Take a swim in the castle’s gorgeous natural lake, venture out on a paddleboard, stroll with us on a guided walk or pick up the pace through an organised run.
