Test your navigation and strategy by entering one of the four off-road adventures we have organised. Using a waterproof 1:25,000 OS map which we provide, navigate trails and hills on foot and bike to collect as many checkpoints as you can in the set time. You plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit and in what order. You will lose 1 point for each 30s you are late coming back. All checkpoints are worth 10 points each. Distance covered depends on how many checkpoints are visited, and depends entirely on your level of fitness, as well as your running/biking and map reading skills.

Now a permanent fixture on the RIDE IT calendar, this ride is off-roading at its best.

It's a 5 out of 5 on the difficulty scale so expect some inclines of epic proportions and downhill swoops to match. Starting at the fantastic Parc Bryn Bach in Tredegar, riders will climb towards Trefil before heading towards the stunning Talybont Reservoir and a host of exhilarating forest trails. Pentwyn and Ponti still Reservoirs await, making the most of terrain made for mountain bikers.

The scenery on this route is some of the best in the UK, and when combined with the awesome single track and demanding terrain, makes for a brilliant day of mountain biking.

Cycle Zambia: Lusaka to the Victoria Falls. Taking place between Friday 21st September and Sunday 30th September 2018, this amazing challenge sees cyclists take on a 490 kilometre ride across the stunning landscapes of Zambia.

Landlocked in Southern Africa, Zambia is fed and shaped by its rivers, lakes and, of course, its waterfalls, the most famous of which is the Victoria Falls which at 2km wide and 103m deep are the largest falls in the world. Massive lakes, rich wetlands and breathtaking African sunsets all contribute to the countrys scenic splendor. In addition to its natural wonders Zambia offers a taste of its diverse tribal and cultural heritage through its craftwork, music, dance and traditional ceremonies.

This 490 kilometre ride will see you taking on dirt tracks, undulating terrain, take you through tiny villages, through open bush, and see you finishing at the incredible Victoria Falls.

Welcome to the No Fuss Ultimate MTB challenge for endurance athletes and people with a sense of adventure. Now a mainstay of the No Fuss calendar the Tour de Ben Nevis in 2018 stays true to its word of bringing mountain biking back to the mountains. A 72km circumnavigation of Ben Nevis from Fort William, the Outdoor Capital of the UK. This is one of the countrys longest point-to-point events; an MTB endurance, enduro and mountain marathon event all rolled into one.

We must stress this is more of an event than a race. Those that are super fit and want to race hard will not be disappointed and the 4 special timed sections will spice it up a bit and really bring out the competitors from within however those who see this as a major personal challenge will be able to pace themselves and enjoy the adventure and wilderness of this remote area.

The course will not be littered with signage and support people, it will be left as untouched as possible to allow you to enjoy this environment in its natural state. With this comes some personal responsibility, which is a big part of the event ethos. We are taking the bubblewrapping away and letting you take on this event knowing that you will need motivation and tenacity to get to the finish line.

2018 will be the eigth year that we have run this event, those who rode in 2016 will remember the weather. In 2016 we were unable to safely manage the river crossing a Luibelt and the race format was changed to an out and back, we are delighted that in 2017 the route was managable in its entirity, although for many the river crossing was memorable.

In 2016 we were unable to safely manage the river crossing a Luibelt and the race format was changed to an out and back, we would hope this is not the case for 2017 but participants should be aware that this is an option.
