This event is open to participants of all levels, both runners and walkers are catered for and are very welcome. This is an absolutely classic 19(ish) miles route taking in four of the Lake District's most scenic valleys and their adjoining passes. The circular route, with its fantastic views, starts and finishes at Rosthwaite Village Hall in Borrowdale, at the southern end of Derwent Water. The first pass takes you to Sty Head Tarn, between the Scafell Massif and Great Gable, before dropping to the beautiful but always dramatic Wasdale, with Cumbria's deepest lake. The second is Black Sail Pass and the third Scarth Gap, which happens to be the easiest ascent of the day. Finally comes Honisters Pass, before your return down to the village hall.
