Loop through Clackmannanshire and Perth & Kinross before riding along the south bank of the Tay all the way to Tayport. Then a flat run to St Andrews before rolling countryside to Falkland. Climb the big climb of the day West Lomond then down through Fife to cross the Forth and back to South Queensferry.

An early morning run past Ullswater, quiet roads via Alston, Bellingham, Kielder Water and Langholm. Fast food at the Gretna motorway services then back south to enjoy an evening descent of the Kirkstone Pass.

Just about hilly enough for AAA, but nothing too steep and for the majority of the ride lovely quiet roads with fine views. Short sections of main road near Langholm and Carlisle. Basic accommodation before and after the event in the school gym, bring sleeping bags/mats. Splendid catering in the pavilion and parking included in the price, You couldn't park in The Lakes and get tea and a cake for less than 8.00!!! Note that the 100km ride is not on as a calendar event this year, but the perm cards will be on sale on the day.

how undulating the Waveney valley is. That said, the hills are short and hardly major feats but you might be a little surprised by the steepness of one or two of them. There are some surprisingly nice views from the top of the hills. After leaving the Waveney valley the route crosses into south Norfolk, which is flatter but sill through pleasant lanes and villages. The control at Loddon is opposite the river and is pleasant. After the second information control it is back into Suffolk and the district of Waveney just west of the pleasant market town of Beccles. 204km cycling event starting from Great Bromley, nr Colchester. Controls at Wickham Market, Diss and Sudbury, plus 2 information controls.

A circular route nearest the shortest day of the year. Starting at Great Bromley VH, Essex and just crossing over the Norfolk border at the midway point, this ride is mainly on B roads and quiet A roads in Suffolk.

A chance to see some Xmas lights both tasteful and not! Breakfast at the start and hot food at the finish are included in the price. Plenty of parking at the village hall. Closest train stations are Wivenhoe or Manningtree but Sunday services are restricted. Hopefully, the sun will shine for us this year!
