The C.ex McDonalds Cycle Challenge is conducted on the beautiful north coast of NSW, centred around Coffs Harbour. The rides start and finish at the scenic Coffs Harbour Jetty.
The event caters for competitive and recreational cyclists and regularly draws around 850 riders. Distances for the 2018 event include 165km, 100km, 60km, 30km and 10km rides.
The newly created 165km ride, and the 100km ride, takes cyclists through picturesque rainforest, beside creeks and ocean. There are no closed roads but the route is on good quality roads now used as village service roads due to the relocation of the Pacific Highway. The route has enough challenging hills to make it a spectacular ride.
And to add to the excitement of this years rides, there will be criterions conducted on Saturday 27th October on First Avenue, Sawtell. Riders will ride under the fig tree canopy of First Avenue, while fans and family can watch from the many coffee shops on the route. Just one block back from the beach, these criterions are sure to be a great hit with locals and visiting cyclist.
