Set in the scenic grounds of Radley College in Abingdon, just outside of Oxford.

The Radley Triathlon aka Good Fri Tri has a super fast and flat bike route which takes in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The 2.5km run route lap takes you around the scenic school grounds, finishing with a lap around the purpose built athletic track, with a 100m Sprint to the finish.

The Radley Triathlon is a fantastic pool based event for novices braving there first triathlon or experienced athletes blowing away the cobwebs from a long winters training.

Last year we surprised athletes with a Cadbury chocolate egg on the finish line. You will have to wait and see what is waiting at the finish line for 2018 but it is guaranteed to be tasty!

The Radley Triathlon (Good Fri Tri)

Swim in the shallow, beginner friendly 6 lane pool with only 4 people per lane. You will get to swim with people of similar ability, so dont worry about it being to intimidating.

Cycle out of the historic medieval city into the wilds of Hampshire, for a quiet and rolling ride, taking in the lovely small village of Sparsholt and the home of the Winchester Duathlon, Lainston house.

Transition is tree lined and an impressive linear feature, making it easy for you to find your bike in a hurry. The run is slightly hilly with one long drag down out of the school and back up again. It's a combo of footpath and running around the flat school playing fields. With lots of opportunities for your spectators to cheer you on!

The finish is close to the lap point which makes for great spectating. Once you've crossed through gantry and over the finish line your bespoke Medal awaits you.

May Day Tri also hosts an awesome Childrens Triathlon. This is a mini version of the main event which is also chip timed and is all located on site. The childrens tri has become a very popular over the last 3 years. As the event takes place after the adults event, it's a great opportunity for the whole family to take part, and introduce your children into the world of triathlon.

Getting here: SO22 5PN Kings School is in on the edge of Winchester. From the M3 junction 11 take the signs for Olivers Battery, then follow sign for triathlon car parking.

May Day Triathlon

Children's May Day Tri is a great finale to the event, in Winchester at Kings School.

This is a mini version of the main triathlon which is designed to be fun and inclusive for all. It is for ages 8-15 years old and has only one distance.

It all begins with a 100m Swim with 4 children per lane. A short run to transition, where there will be dedicated marshals to help them through the process. This is where they can hop on their bikes to cycle around the top playing field to accumulate 2Km. As the cycling is on a playing field a mountain bike is recommended, but if the weather is good a road bike can be used. It all finishes off with a little 1 Km run around the site and a grand finish across the red carpet to their awaiting medal.

The childrens tri has become very popular over the last 3 years. It is a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy the day out, and introduce your children into the fantastic world of triathlon.

Children’s May Day Triathlon

Back for it's second year at the stunning St Swithun's School, just outside of Winchester city centre, is the St Swithun's Triathlon.

To begin your race, take to the St Swithun's pool and splash your way through the water in the shallow, beginner friendly 4 lane pool. We will organise the waves of similar ability, so don't worry about those fast timers!

With the impressive grounds always within sight, you'll find transition easily just outside the pool area. With hanging trees and the stunning view of the school here, you'll take to the impending cycle route with a smile!

Cycling out of the grounds and onto the country roads of Winchester, following a unique trail you will be sure to pass through the quaint villages of Easton and Avington - you may even catch a glimpse of the impressive 17th-century Avington Mansion!

The last leg of the triathlon will consist of a run through the picturesque grounds. Following out of the school and onto the main road - don't worry, our lovely marshals will be on hand directing you - you will be guided back in and around the back of the brand new junior school facilities.

And saving the very best to last, as you come to finish your triathlon, you will find yourself running alongside remarkable outback views of Winchester. Take a breath as you cross the finish line, where our fantastic team of marshals will be ready to greet you with your well-deserved medal.

We only thought it fair to host a Children's Triathlon as well! This is a mini version of the main triathlon, which is chip timed and located all on site. Following the success of previous Children's triathlons, we felt this would be a great opportunity for the kids to get involved too! Hey, why not make this a day to remember for the whole family? Bring down a picnic, or have the whole family taking part! All children will receive a medal after they have moved through the spectacular facilities for their triathlon event.
