Running along the River Dee, through the forest and over moorland, there is a great variety of terrain at these events. There will be a 14km* and 25km* race. The route for both races will be one loop and two loops of one course.
There is plenty of variety in terrain over the route with forest tracks, footpaths, fields, moorland and some tarmac to get you out and back.
There is a total of 365 metres* of elevation for the 14km* and 720 metres* of elevation for the 25km*
There is an entry limit of 500 (across both races) and we expect it to fill quickly, so get in now! There will also be a children's race on the day for the budding trail runners.
Our event centre provides a great family day out for both competitors and also spectators, with food and drinks available, children's activities, race commentary all at the start / finish line located in the natural ampitheatre, on the lawn in front of Crogen Hall. Spectators will have a great view of the starters and finishers. There will be toilets provided and some shelter in the registration marquee, which hopefully we won't need. But as it is Wales you can't be sure what the weather will do so make sure you dress for the conditions and maybe bring some sun cream just in case!
Due to the fact that all our events are held on private land, we are not able to provide you with course maps. As it is private land the route cannot be run before or after the race, so please don't try. Dogs are allowed with spectators on the day, but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up after your dog if necessary.
