    This ride will be a Renaissance of sorts, with all of the rides starting and ending in our new venue at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga, at the North end of the valley. Calistoga is a small town renowned for its hot springs, mud baths, world-class restaurants and Napa Valley wines. As our riders go south on the scenic Silverado Trail and into the Vaca range to the east of the valley, they will visit as many as seven famous wine appellations and enjoy views not only of vineyards, but hillsides of oaks, bays, eucalyptus, as well as redwood forests.

    The Amtrak Century is a popular ride from Irvine to San Diego, on which riders return in an Amtrak Surfliner party train.

    The course starts at Irvine Amtrak Station and gradually ascends to Foothill Ranch. From here it descends to San Juan Capistrano and follows the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route through San Clemente to Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base.

    The ride then continues on the shoulder of Freeway 5 to Oceanside. It visits Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, and Del Mar, before climbing Torrey Pines. The route then follows the bike path down to San Diego. Finally it passes Spanish Landing Park, which offers great views of the skyline, before finishing at Santa Fe Station.

You'll ride along the world-class roads of Marin County, with notable views of Alpine Dam, Mount Tam, Stinson Beach, Bolinas, Point Reyes and Tomales Bay. We'll keep you fueled with fully staffed and stocked service stops. At the finish, you will enjoy the Finishers Village where you will be treated to a recovery meal, music and an ice cold local brew. This ride starts earlier in the morning, riding past the Light House, and pier, to Carlsbad,then turns inland at Encinitas, thus avoiding beach crowds.
