There are mysterious sounds and sightings being reported around Sheffield. Its up to you and only you to save yourself from the figures lurking in the shadows. We predict that the zombies will attack Sheffield on Saturday 27th October 2018, so its up to you to gather your troops and take on the zombies. The undead will be lurking in the shadows of the trees for an estimated 5km. Are you ready to run for your life? Each runner will be equipped with a utility life belt which contains three life tags. The zombies throughout the course will be aiming to steal your life tags and youll have to be nimble and quick to make it past the infected hordes. If you lose all three dont worry the virus is slow to take effect and you should have time to complete the race. You will still be infected, but our decontamination team will do their best to reverse the effects at the finish line. We promise: 1. Zombies will only ever take one life tag at a time 2. There will be no intentional physical contact between Zombies and Runners 3. Zombies will never intentionally obstruct you The decontamination team will meet you at the finish with your medal and with a FREE glass of celebratory decontamination fizz. There will also be plenty of cake to replace some of the energy you've burned, and your own Survival Certificate. Run on your own, as a pair or in a team. Totally traffic-free, fast and flat route. No time limits, no age restrictions, no pressure - just LOADS of fun. Come and join us! Full route details will be emailed out one week before the event, but the race will start & finish on the canal towpath behind The Source (within a short walking distance of Meadowhall). Fast, flat & beautiful course with huge PB potential.

The Tissington Trail Half Marathon has established itself as a real favourite with runners, often selling out months in advance, and we hold this race on two dates across one weekend to accommodate as many runners as possible. We're proud that the race regularly features in the Runner's World top 10 UK trail races.

The Tissington Trail, the site of a former railway line from Ashbourne to Buxton, runs along a 13 mile route from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne in Derbyshire. Surrounded by beautiful countryside the traffic-free trail is ideal for a cracking half marathon and, because the route is slightly downhill all the way, you've got gravity on your side!

This race features chip timing, a quality bespoke medal for all finishers, plus well-stocked aid stations and finish line goodies! Commemorative finisher's technical t-shirts will also be available to purchase.

Prizes from the event are generously sponsored by Big Bobble Hats who will be present on the day of the event.

We are also pleased to welcome Much Better Adventures on board as one of our event partners, an award-winning platform for booking unique, ready-made adventure weekends with amazing local hosts. Join a small social group of like-minded people, or book privately just for you and friends. From Kayaking and Wildcamping the Norwegian Fjords to climbing Mt Toubkal in Morocco, check out the amazing adventures you could have on your next weekend away.

As an event entrant, you can get 25 credit to use on any adventure weekend and we'll also have one place on one of their trips available to win for one lucky entrant!

Thoresby10 is back for our 4th annual autumnal trail run in the beautiful grounds of Thoresby Hall, north Nottinghamshire. Choose from a race over 10k or 10miles, running along old military roads, cleared tracks through ancient woodland and grassed paths around the country estate. The 10k route is The Longhorn race in reverse, the 10-mile race is the 10k route with an extra 4 miles added through more of the estates ancient woodland. The route includes a few hills to offer a small challenge around the course in some of the most scenic Nottinghamshire countryside as well as the forest & past the lake.
The Autumn colors should make this a race to remember in this natural area of beauty. The race takes you into Nottinghamshire's National Nature Reserve, through private areas that were once part of the 10,000 acres Royal Forest of Sherwood where the woodland is dominated by native Oaks as well as other native trees including Silver Birch, Rowan, Holly, and Hawthorn. The reserve is also the site of Europe's oldest Oak tree plantation, containing over 1000 Oaks most of which are over 500 years old! Look out for the Longhorn Cattle of Thoresby Estate, who usually roam free in the forest, in their restricted fields for the race.
We are also offering a 5k run/walk for all levels. It's a different course that takes you past the beautiful church at Perlethorpe, through woodland groves & back onto the main field in front of Thoresby Hall. This event can be a gentle stroll with the family or a race to get your 5km PB. The 5km race is 2 loops of the course.
We welcome Canicross Runners across all distances - water stations will be provided to dogs regularly out on course & at Race Village. We recommend your dog wears a running harness & is used to running with you. Remember they need to train too! Don't expect your dog to run a distance just because you can! Please clean up after your dog & keep your dog on a lead at all times as this is an SSSI preservation area. Please book on using Canicross category. Canicross races are not under UKA rules & do not offer EA affiliated discount.

The Northern Jumble- A great opportunity to build up the bling and take one of the bespoke medals designed for Its Grim Up North Running all for the bargain price of 10.

The lovely village of Slaithwaite provides the perfect setting for another out and back along the canal. The lovely mill town captures the North in every sense, friendly folk, beautiful hillsides and plenty of tea shops, what more could anyone ask for.

"Slaithwaite (pronounced 'slawit' or 'Slaithwaite' by locals) is a true "Yorkshire grit" mill town straddled by the viaduct and bisected by the canal. Slaithwaite retains its essential character, despite being used as the setting for the television series, "Where the Heart is" and for some of "Last of the Summer Wine". A lovely church, the fine 17th Century Dartmouth Estate Manor House, and other buildings dating from the 18th Century combine with large central mills to give quality to this industrial village that was once home to Luddites".
