Beginner Friendly Running Events in Worcester, Massachusetts
The race will kick off at 11:00am. Adult Road Race will start at the Town Common (200 Main Street). Mile splits will be given at 1st and 2nd miles. A water station will be available at the 2-mile mark. Make sure you look for the orange arrows along the route. Please be extra careful of cars along Maple Street.

This is a family friendly 5K Run/Walk event in honor of Ryan French. Ryan was a resident of Thompson and a student in the Ag-Ed Program at Killingly High School. While at KHS, Ryan was a 3-year Varsity runner in Cross Country, 2-year Varsity runner in Outdoor Track, an ECC All-Star in both sports, and a Scholar Athlete. Ryan had a significant impact on the people around him, both young and old alike. The proceeds from this race will be going into the Ryan French Memorial Scholarship Fund which provides Scholarships to well deserving Killingly Ag-Ed Seniors going onto higher education.

Our 5K raises money for Camp Erin Boston, a FREE weekend overnight camp for children and teens ages 6 through 17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them in their lifetime.
Starting at Mansion Beach, first mile has small, rolling hills and follows the shoreline of the pond. Starting at the one-mile mark, the course turns away from the pond and heads uphill to the halfway mark. The route loops back and eventually heads back to the finish line at Mansion Beach. A fast downhill section ends the run. Walkers follow the same route, but turn around at the 1 mile mark. There are several kids' courses based on age, ranging from 25 yards to a quarter mile.
5th Annual Hopedale Spooktacular 5K Run / Walk. All net proceeds from this race will go to the Friends of Historic Hopedale.
Jack's Abby Craft Lagers has teamed up with the United Way of Tri-County (UTWC) to sponsor the 4th Annual 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser. The run will begin and end at Jacks Abby Craft Lagers brewery and beer hall located at 100 Clinton Street in Framingham.
We cordially invite you to this years Walpole Labor Day Road Race. The Herb Lewis Memorial and John D. Murphy and Co. 10K Race (6.2 miles) and Walpole Ed 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) start and finish at Walpole High School. For the last five years, the Marathon Sports Youth Mile has been a welcome addition to race day with over 80 young athletes competing. All three races are organized to benefit the Walpole High School Cross Country and Track and Field Teams. We expect over 600 participants, many volunteers, and loads of cheering spectators!

Chosen by our team, these are some of our favourite events for first-timers. 5k races & 10k races are perfect for beginners, they tend to be relatively flat (always check the elevation just in case) and there’ll usually be a great crowd to cheer you on.
