Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.

If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important. You’re so much more likely to hit a better time if there’s a crowd cheering you on, people in fancy dress and a big celebration at the finish line.

10k Races in Bath October 2018

Aspire are very pleased to announce the second of two races of this extremely popular event in 2018 at Avon Valley Railway (Bitton Station) There will be the usual 10k and all ages and abilities 4k on the morning of Saturday 6th October, 2018.

This event is Canicross Friendly. All this whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Avon Valley, with amazing views of the Bath Skyline. Also 4k event.

Starting and finishing at Grittleton Village Hall, the Grittleton 10km is a fast, one lap, chip-timed road race set in a tranquil village location. The course has been officially measured and granted a Certificate of Course Accuracy and as previous years have provedPBs will tumble!

The final race of the 1610 Race Series 2018 is the challenging Shepton Mallet 10K on Sunday 28 October 2018.

The race will start and finish at Collett Park in the centre of Shepton Mallett, leaving the park crossing Charlton Road down past the towns famous prison and weaving through the streets before escaping onto scenic country lanes. Its a hilly but picturesque route all on tarmac - watch out for the 2 challenging hills along the way!

Runners of all abilities are welcome at the event.

5k Races in Bath October 2018

An 11k scenic run around the village of Marshfield, across fields, along lanes and into St. Catherine's valley. Marshfield School PTA & Corsham Running Club
are proud to present the Mudlark 11km multi-terrain Mudlite 4.5k multi-terrain, and Muddling Fun Run 2.6k.

Marshfield School PTA will be offering hot & cold drinks, cakes and snacks in the Cricket Clubhouse for the duration of the event. All profits will go towards raising funds for Marshfield School.

A stunning multi terrain course that will be transverse over a mixture of broadleaved woodland, scrub and open grassland with a small section of the route on the Bristol to Bath Railway Path (No spikes for this one) The course is flat/undulating with a few small cheeky hills thrown in and will be suitable for all standards of runner. All this whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Warmley Forest Park, a former extensive clay quarry. The whole area has now matured into a thriving Wildlife area. You will also take in beautiful ponds and the Siston brook rushes alongside the Eastern boundary. The Forest Park is a public open space that can also easily accessed by bike, car and bus.; The 5k is a single loop, the 10k a two loop course which will incorporate trails, public footpaths, open countryside, woodland sections plus the Bristol & Bath Railway Path.; Race Registration will start at 9am for the collection of race numbers on the day and will be held within the Visitor Centre, which is just 50m inside the Forest Park entrance.; Location: London Road, Warmley (A420) opposite the Midland Spinner Pub (Postcode BS30 5JB);

These 10km & 5km accurately measured road races are suitable for runners aged 15 and over, along with a 1.5km supporting fun run which is suitable for all ages. This course is capable of producing your personal best, fast and flat. We will have a range of activities to keep the family here during the event too. Each runner will receive a special medal for the event and category winners will receive a special gift in a presentation.
