Running is the world’s most accessible sport. Park runs, colour runs, 5k, 10k, half marathons, marathons and ultras — all you need is a pair of trainers and off you go. Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.

If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important. You’re so much more likely to hit a better time if there’s a crowd cheering you on, people in fancy dress and a big celebration at the finish line.

Marathon events in Luton December 2018

The Christmas Enigma Marathon 2 is a loop of the lake, then an out and back followed by a partial loop of the lake. You start in front of the pub and follow the lakeside path and within 200 yards you will pass the drinks station from here you need to run one complete lap of the lake sticking to the lakeside path that runs closest to the lake.

Continue along canal past Globe pub until you reach the Grove pub & lock where you need to touch the lock gate - this is the turn around point & you need to retrace your route along the canal remembering to cross the canal twice & turn off the canal just after the Kissing gate but before the Red Lion pub.

Follow trail path head under A5 bridge turn right across the wooden bridge then turn right onto to lake.

Complete 3/4 of a lap of lake in reverse direction to earlier in the day finishing behind the pub car park where the drinks station is located.

5k Races in Luton December 2018

Join us for our annual festive fundraiser and get dressed up as either a Santa or Reindeer!

Our 1.5km Reindeer Run is perfect for younger children to run, walk or toddle. Entry includes reindeer antlers and a medal at the finish line.

The longer 5km Jingle Bell Jog which is open to over 10s sees participants racing around St Albans in Santa suits complete with beards which are included in your entry fee.
