Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.

If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important. You’re so much more likely to hit a better time if there’s a crowd cheering you on, people in fancy dress and a big celebration at the finish line.

10k Races in Manchester December 2018

A great pre-Christmas event for all runners, including those seeking course PBs and winning positions, club and team entrants, novice and recreational runners. The 10K course is set in the beautiful surroundings of Tatton Park, across park trails with a fast finish on road.

Marathon events in Manchester December 2018

Starting from the beautiful village of Langsett, this new and exciting race will twist and wind you through some of the most scenic forest trails in the Peak District National park.

From there you will hit a single track that changes in elevation several times, from the top of this climb you will be greeted to a spectacular technical decent which will land you right into the heart of the Derwent valley.

With gentle rolling tracks along the Derwent water, you will eventually be hit head-on with some tough gritty climbs onto the outer edges of the Derwent valley.

This will lead you to the final climb onto the last ridge before you descend back to the finish for a well-earned cuppa!!!!

Navigation skills essential, lower parts of the course will be marked. A GPX file will be available to download and map of the route will be available on the website to print also the map will be handed out at registration.

5k Races in Manchester December 2018

We organise a free monthly 5K run in Buxtons Pavilion Gardens. These runs are open to everyone of all standardsthe only qualification is that you must feel like running 5K on a Saturday morning. No prior registration required just turn up and run!

All runs are held on the same course, starting from the Burlington Rd end of Broadwalk and taking in 3 laps of the beautiful Pavilion Gardens. The runs usually attract anywhere between 50 and 100 runners. We have been organizing the Pavilion Gardens 5k since 2012. Read about the history From the 2012 Olympics to Striking Our Own Gold!

Our 6th annual 5k Santa Fun Run is taking place in the fantastic Mesnes Park, Wigan.

On Sunday 9th December 2018 join hundreds of Santa's turning Mesnes Park red to complete the 5k dash route. Everyone taking part will receive a fantastic festive Santa suit to complete your 5k in, and entry also includes a Turkey sandwich, mince pie and mulled wine (water for the children) for all finishers.

What better way to spend Sunday 9th December than 'Dashing' around Mesnes Park dressed as Santa with festive Christmas music provided by Wish FM.
