Founded by Joseph Cerniglia, Jr. of Springfield, VT, and after achieving revered heights through athletic achievements, 7 time Ironman finisher, Ironman World Championship in Kailua Kona Hawaii, multiple Boston Marathon Qualifier, Joseph a USAT certified endurance coach decided it was time to give back to the community he hails from that has given him so much.
The Purpose of the Annual Springfield Road Race and Fun Run is, in addition to promoting an active, healthy lifestyle, a way for family and friends to get together and be a part of their local community.
Escape the grind and find your inner wild at Ragnar Vermont Trail, happening on Aug 16-17, 2019. The incredible West Windsor community has welcomed Ragnar back with open arms, so for the second year in a row teams will set up camp at beautiful Mt. Ascutney.
Your team will come together to conquer a series of three trails that start and end at Ragnar Village. Runners will experience the other-worldly beauty that exists only in the Vermont countryside. These trails send each runner over the river and through the woods (literally) on single-track trails sweeter than maple syrup. Plus, theres a brand new Red Loop for you to take on.
Reebok Ragnar Reach the Beach (RTB), happening Sept. 13-14 is more than a relay race; its an overnight adventure, yearly tradition and community celebration all rolled into one. And as always, NO volunteers are required.
As the East Coasts oldest running relay, this race boasts some of our best community support, with decorated exchanges, volunteers in full costume and even neighbourhood block parties. We couldnt ask for a warmer welcome for our amazing runners.
