Running is the world’s most accessible sport. Park runs, colour runs, 5k, 10k, half marathons, marathons and ultras — all you need is a pair of trainers and off you go. Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.

If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important. You’re so much more likely to hit a better time if there’s a crowd cheering you on, people in fancy dress and a big celebration at the finish line.

10k Races in Nottingham December 2018

The course is a fast potential PB course. The race is normally oversubscribed before race day with a limit of 1000. Race HQ is The Bolsover School and the start is just outside the school on Mooracre Lane with the finish within the school grounds.

Marathon events in Nottingham December 2018

Come along to Newark Showground, site of the former RAF Winthorpe Airfield- a 200 acre site, fully fenced and traffic free, perfect for stress free running.

The challenge you set yourself!
You can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 3.28 mile loop around this historic airfield. Go for one lap or try the 6 hour challenge. How far will you go?

5k Races in Nottingham December 2018

A monthly time trial race held every month usually on the first Saturday. Race HQ is the Cricket Pavilion, Queen's Park, entrance on Boythorpe Avenue. Changing, showers, refreshments available. This is an accurate 5k course officially measured by a UKA/ARC course measurer.

The Jingle Jog is back! This year taking place on Sunday December 2nd.

The Jingle Jog takes you on a 5km (3.1 miles) route around the picturesque Markeaton Park.

The fun run is for everyone, adults, children and dogs alike. You dont have to run, you can walk, jog or run its up to you!

This evening winter series takes in a fast two lap circuit, using an accurately measured 5K course. Times should be quick, but the race would suit runners of all standards including beginners, with a medal and finish line goodies on offer for all finishers.

Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the leading runners and age category winners, plus team prizes and a special series prize for 1st Male and 1st Female across all races. The series comprises four 5k races and points are awarded by race position, with the best three races counting towards the series results.
