Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.

If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important. You’re so much more likely to hit a better time if there’s a crowd cheering you on, people in fancy dress and a big celebration at the finish line.

10k Races in Nottingham November 2018

The Coalville 10K returns for the seventh time and is a well-established race on the local running calendar. The race uses the trails, footpaths and roads within Snibston Country Park, near Coalville. The self-contained course also incorporates plenty of car parking, toilets and good spectator viewing. The challenging course makes the event ideal for experienced runners and beginners alike or those simply looking for a good, timed Sunday run.

The race will be assisted by the Coalville Rotary Club.

There are medals and a range of finish line goodies waiting for all runners at the finish line.

Now in it's 32nd year the ever popular Matthew Walker 10k race starts and finishes in Shipley Country Park. A brand new slightly undulating course, ideal for first timers and the seasoned runner.
Each finisher receives a Matthew Walker Christmas Pudding and a technical tee shirt

5k Races in Nottingham November 2018

After another successful year in 2015, this great evening Winter series returns to Victoria Park and the East Midlands' running calendar. A fast two lap circuit, using an accurately measured 5k course.

This evening winter series takes in a fast two lap circuit, using an accurately measured 5k course. Times should be quick, but the race would suit runners of all standards including beginners, with a medal and finish line goodies on offer for all finishers.

Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the leading runners and age category winners, plus team prizes and a special series prize for 1st Male and 1st Female across all races. The series comprises four 5k races and points are awarded by race position, with the best three races counting towards the series results.

These events are for everyone. Just turn up and enjoy yourself. Whether your a regular runner or always wanted to get that little bit fitter. You can jog 4 laps, 3,2 or 1 lap and even walk the route as that first step towards improving your fitness and general well-being. Month by month you set your own target and try to improve it.

You'll be caught up with the enthusiasm of others and the atmosphere within the park - so much easier than running alone.

Ultramarathon events in Nottingham November 2018

The best of the Peak District from south to north, through tree lined vales, high moors, plateau, famous peaks and grit stone edges, in winter season conditions. Mixed navigation challenges and adventure for racers. The route runs through the inspiring White and Dark Peak District over classic trails. We're including pre-race briefings, followed by pizza and pasta party to help you start this friendly and sociable race, fueled with energy and prepared.
