The Village of Lake Park, NC @ Meeting Street and Creft Circle. These races will be professionally timed. First, second and third place medals for all age groups in the 10k & 5k. Overall winners, male and female in all races, and prizes and gifts for all the kids in the dash.
The Bella Rose Strides for Babies 5K is a run/walk with proceeds benefiting First Candle held every August at the Wake Med Soccer Park in Cary, NC in honor of Bella Rose Diaz.
Part III in the Runologie Race Series, The Hopscotch 8K keeps summer rolling with an 8K around Dorothea Dix Park and Hopscotch day party at Trophy Brewing on Maywood Avenue with live music. Hopscotch signature medal with every registration and a beer (or beverage of choice) from Trophy Brewing. Food trucks and vendors and music to keep you dancing through the holiday weekend.
The annual Canes 5k presented by UNC REX Healthcare and assisted by Raleigh Orthopaedic will take place at PNC Arena
With over 10 years of history, this race had over 260 participants finish the 5K last year. Sam Montclair won the 5K race in a course record 15:60, while Jennifer Dipaolo was the top female with a 20:41 clocking.
The cross country course at WakeMed Soccer Park is one of the premier venues of its kind in the United States. It opened in 2003 and has hosted numerous major running events.

A family friendly event with 5K, 10K, and Fun Mile races as well as a family fun mile on a USA Track & Field Certified Course at Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Parents may participate in the race with kids in strollers but all kids in strollers must be registered (FREE!) and numbered.
The Jim Valvano Kids Klassic (JVKK) is an entertaining weekend to benefit pediatric cancer research, patient support, and education at Duke Children's. Since it began in 1986, the JVKK has raised nearly $3 million. As Coach Valvano said, Never, never give up. At Duke Childrens, were not giving up until the battle against pediatric cancer is won.
The Cary Unity Walk is an event to celebrate citizens working together to support local first responders and create a safe, unified, and nurturing community for our youth and our future. This year we are proud to announce that the Cary Unity Walk is also helping support the Triangle Apartment Association's nonprofit organization A New Lease on Life.
Back for its another year, Race 13.1 Raleigh - Fall half marathon, 10k and 5k returns to the City of Oaks! The race will proceed through three beautiful greenway sections: Mine Creek Greenway, House Creek Greenway and Crabtree River Greenway, and runners will enjoy the new downhill finish as they race down Gates Street. With an average temperature of just 54 degrees at race start, this is a perfect event to kick off your fall race season!
The 9/11 Heroes Run activates and unites communities to honor the sacrifices of those heroes from September 11th and the wars since, to include veterans, active duty, first responder, and families of the fallen. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K +1M fun run/walk welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and of all ages, volunteers, friends, and family. It is not about fitness level or experience but about activating, uniting, and honoring our heroes.

The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. It honors all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and supports our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

This festival has something for the fastest runners and families alike. Start and Finish at Diamond View Park at the American Tobacco Campus and Choose from the Half Marathon, Five Miler or 1 Mile distances. Enjoy a fall morning of running through downtown Durham, Duke University and surrounding Historic Neighborhoods. After you cross the finish line, enjoy delicious eats from a variety of delicious food trucks! The Bull City Race Fest is the culmination of a world class running experience and a world class eating experience, all in a world class city DURHAM!
Relay for Life of UNC is hosting our annual 5K Color Run starting at the Old Well. All profits received from this race will go directly toward cancer research through the American Cancer Society, of which approximately $9 million is annually returned to UNC Hospitals. The race will take place on UNCs campus, beginning and finishing at the Old Well. Even more colored powder will be tossed at the start, each mile marker, and the finish. White t-shirts with the event logo are being sold to ideally be worn in the race and capture the color! Afterwards there will be water and snacks for our participants, in addition to some entertaining activities.
The Guardians of the Hill 5K, sponsored by the Chapel Hill Police Department, will benefit The N.C Special Olympics.
A full, half marathon and 5k with convenient parking and fast course right off I-40!
This is our annual 5K in Butner, NC. Hosted by the AMT Group and Community UMC. Proceeds of the race goes to help the missions of community and throughout the world, such as the summer reading program for elementary school children and school supplies to help out our local schools.
Back by popular demand for the 7th year, it won't be long before its time to greet the New Year again with a a fun run with friends and a big mug of hot chocolate!

The Sir Walter Miler began due to lack of stateside races for American athletes. In June 2013, Sandy Roberts was coming his best collegiate season, and couldnt find any meets, that werent in Europe, to continue his development. With this position, the Sandman Mile was created for Roberts to attempt a sub 4:00 mile with only his brother as the pacer. The event was promoted for only a few days, and would take place at the end of football practice, with the lights still on, at Cardinal Gibbons High School. Hundreds showed up and lined the track to cheer Roberts on. The next year, the Sir Walter Miler took that energy and developed it into a mile-centric event, which has only grown since.
Hayes Barton Baptist Church will be hosting the 6th Annual Five Points 5k and Health Fair in the heart of the Five Points Community in Raleigh, North Carolina. Proceeds from the race go directly to the local community elementary schools. We also simultaneously host a Health Fair in our Family Life Center Gym that is free for the public. It will include health screenings, chiropractic screenings, healthy lifestyle advice, and more, and will include our local businesses of Five Points. We thank and wish all that participate good luck in the upcoming race!

Accompanying our annual Walk for Hope, the Race for Steak is a USA Track & Field Certified run held in Raleigh, North Carolina with a timed 5k route. 100% of the money raised by participants directly funds local mental health research at the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Psychiatry. And, just as critically, it helps call attention to the stigma and significance of these often invisible illnesses, which affect as many as one in five American adults.

Running is the world’s most accessible sport. Park runs, colour runs, 5k, 10k, half marathons, marathons and ultras — all you need is a pair of trainers and off you go. Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.
If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important.
