Running is the world’s most accessible sport. Park runs, colour runs, 5k, 10k, half marathons, marathons and ultras — all you need is a pair of trainers and off you go. Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.

If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important. You’re so much more likely to hit a better time if there’s a crowd cheering you on, people in fancy dress and a big celebration at the finish line.

10k Races in Stoke October 2018

Whether you choose 10K or 5K, the Katharine House Family Fun Run is the perfect opportunity for you to test your fitness goals.

Both routes are on mixed terrain and are suitable for all ages and fitness levels to run, jog or walk - you'll be chip timed so you could aim for a personal best or take your time and enjoy the sights in Shugborough Estate's beautiful parkland. Fancy dress is not compulsory but it is most welcome!

Put on your trainers and pace for pounds to help us to continue to provide free care for local people living with life-limiting illnesses. It's not about how fast you go, it's about having fun. There's no prize for the fastest runner but there will be a prize for the No. 1 fundraiser! With the dedicated support of our fundraising team, you'll fly over your fundraising finish line in no time.

Ultramarathon events in Stoke October 2018

A point to point ultra trail running event following the whole 43 miles (69 km) of the iconic Limestone Way, all the way through the Peak District National Park from Ashbourne in the White Peak to Hope in the Dark Peak, using a combination of footpaths and bridleways with some interlinking country lanes. The route passes through dramatic Dales and beautiful Peakland villages, all set within a green, gently rolling landscape. The Limestone Way 'Half takes place on the same day but competitors will tackle just the northern 17 miles (27.5 km) section of the route.
