What you need to know about Marathon Running

The marathon is the benchmark for any runner. Its history stretches back to the Ancient Greeks, and it now includes all the world’s most iconic running races. At 26.2 miles, it’s a massive test of physical and mental resilience. If it’s a PB you’re after, you can choose a fast, flat city course, or else go for a more challenging trail run in one of the world’s most stunning locations.

Think a marathon might be pushing it? Why not ease yourself in with a 5k or 10k run instead?

The course is a quick 0.8 mile 'out and back' in Clearbrook village followed by a 12.31 miles 'out-and-back' run on the well-signposted Cycle Route 27 which will be well marshalled.

Toilets and refreshment stations will be situated at the Race HQ near the Start/Finish Line and at the Turnaround point at Coypool.

Another refreshment station will be manned at Bickleigh Barracks which is situated approximately halfway between Clearbrook and the turnaround point at Coypool and you must display your official running number at all times.
