The course can be pretty rough, and there are some very stout hills - imagine almost a mini-version of the Barkley Fall Classic with less Laz. The race directors left a couple of the bigger climbs off of this year's course, but have tentative plans to add them in next year which would be awesome if you're the kind of trail runner that like a challenge. There was a decent amount of pavement mixed in, though I hear next year there will be quite a bit less. One of the more challenging ultra's i've done - and I only did the 26 mile.... Awesome event, great atmosphere, great lodging on site, excellent job by the race director team - overall a great experience. Just be fit and ready for some climbs when you toe the start line.
