The 3 Bay Challenge is a three-stage biathlon where participants run between and swim at three of Sydney's iconic harbour beaches: Nielsen Park, Parsley Bay, Watsons Bay. The course consists of three running legs and three swimming legs. Total distance is 6km run and 750m swim.
One of the most unique and iconic events on the calendar - take your pick between an ocean swim or the epic 3 beach swim run.
This event gives you the opportunity of a 2km ocean swim, and/or a biathlon involving 300m swims at North Curl Curl Curl, South Curl Curl and Freshwater, separated and joined by runs along the beach and footpaths. It's a mini tour of the lower northern beaches - a one of a kind and an awesome experience.

It offers extensive play areas to keep adventurous families entertained for hours, and for nature lovers, runners and cyclists, acres of wide open spaces and paths.
With what we hope will be flat sea's, a scenic undulating bike course and testing runs this event is ideal for a late season open water Olympic ,sprint and Super-sprint triathlon.
(Undulating bike and run courses are route specific)

What you need to know about swimrun
What started out as a drunken bet between two friends in Sweden is fast becoming one of the more popular multi-sport racing events. Swimruns are always carried out outdoors and in open water where your goal is to go from a start to finish through a course with several checkpoints. It has several stages, which means you have to switch between running and swimming several times.
You enter as a two person team, and usually you have to be within 10m of each other for the whole race. Some people tie themselves together to make sure they don’t drift during the swim. The original ÖTILLÖ in Stockholm is regarded as one of the toughest adventure races around, but as the sport grows there are events suitable for newbies as well as hardened endurance athletes. We’ve created a list of our favourites, from swimruns in Wales, Cumbria, Scotland and the Scilly Isles, you’re sure to find an adventure that suits.
