A fun, friendly triathlon with a great atmosphere. No matter what youre level of ability you can be sure of a fantastic experience with loads of encouragement & support from the Freebird crew.
The unique middle-distance Sundowner Triathlon based at Allerthorpe Lakeland Park just 10 miles from York, has a leisurely Saturday midday start. Allowing you to wake up and prepare for the race without the usual early morning rush!
As the name suggests, some competitors will be completing the course as the sun goes down, a fantastic sunset photo opportunity for those final competitors.
The middle-distance event comes complete with a superb post-race party and live entertainment. Camping on site is also available, so you and the family can enjoy a great weekend of triathlon and post-race relaxation in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Included in your entry price youll receive a cracking Yorkshire meal at the evening party along with live music and a fully licenced bar.
The Sundowner Triathlon takes place on Saturday 1st September 2018, so if you fancy stepping up the distance why not give this one a go?
We advise competitors to arrive at least one hour before before the start of their race to ensure they have plenty of time to rack their bikes before the first wave of competitors and also gives everyone time to find their way around the course and feel comfortable with the transition areas.
Final race information including competitors final start times will be emailed out to you approximately 10 days before the Sundowner Triathlon and will also be listed on the website the week before the event on here so please make sure you check your time and allow plenty of time for travel to the venue.
We will be in touch before this, keeping you up to date with any race information, training tips and ideas that might just help you achieve a PB!
There is parking available at the venue. There are also changing facilities, a great choice of food plus equipment stalls at the event (just in case you forget something!)
