Tucked away in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., the Frederick Running Festival is one of the hidden gems of the running community. Now in its 16th year, the festival features four races, which all finish at the Frederick Fairgrounds. Runners can experience a big time race with small town charm with the added value of off-site packet pick-up in the suburbs of Maryland. Choose between a half-marathon and two-person team relay on Sunday or the 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday.

Runners will be treated in typical Corrigan Sports fashion. This eleventh running event will feature the same scenic, challenging, yet fun course that starts and finishes at Druid Hill Lake Park near the Maryland Zoo. The course will travel along the North side of town to Lake Montebello and return to Druid Hill for the post race festivities that are SECOND TO NONE for this size race.
Make your way to Maryland International Raceway as you prepare to sprint in our nations capital. This is a venue that is usually reserved for race cars, but will be replaced by machines much more powerful: Spartans.
This seasonal drag strip has a capacity of 12,500 and is known for its car races and shows. With terrain usually primed for tires, prepare for some tough conditions. There will be hills (including track jumps) and lots of mud. Take this advice: get in some hill workouts before taking on this course -- your legs will thank you. Form a team and come dominate this 3+ mile Spartan Sprint.
The HESCO BONE FROG was created by Navy SEALs to challenge, build and inspire participants to become better athletes and recognize that they can do anything they set their minds to while enjoying the camaraderie and teamwork usually reserved for active duty Navy SEALs.
The HESCO BONE FROG is truly a unique experience. With 50 Navy SEAL-style obstacles on courses that range from 3-9 miles, the course will test everyone and leave no one unscathed. We attempt to place an obstacle approximately every quarter mile (when venues permit), so your running ability alone will not carry the day.
You must be functionally fit to succeed here. You will get muddy. You will get beat up. You will be exhausted. But you will finish. As Navy SEALs, we know what tough is and we dont mean Harvard.
The race will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2018 - 8:00 a.m. sharp. Events will take place at Laurel Lake Club House 201 SW Lakeshore Dr. Millville NJ 08332.
You could spend your Saturday running errands or binge-watching TV, but wouldnt it be more fun to do something absolutely insane with your friends?!
Picture this: You arrive at Rugged Maniac on October 5th with a carload of your most adventurous friends. As you step out you notice the people around you admiring your groups coordinated Avengers-in-bathing-suits costumes and your on-point Hulk-green body paint. In the festival, people are already riding the mechanical bull and playing beach volleyball (Rugged Maniac is definitely more than just a mud run), but youre more interested in the stein-hoisting contest on the main stage. You make a note to sign up for that and the pie-eating contest after you run. You see obstacles in the distance mud-covered people jumping over fire, bouncing on trampolines, rocketing down a huge water slide and your surging excitement confirms what you already knew: Today is going to be awesome!
Stop daydreaming. Grab your friends and get your tickets now!
