the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k road race is held in New Orleans on the Saturday before Easter Sunday each year. The Classic is locally produced by a not-for-profit 5013c entity, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation, and is a great way to get in shape while having fun! Both runners and walkers of all abilities are invited to participate in the race.
The Classic is both physically challenging and a great New Orleans tradition! The 10-kilometer course (6.2 miles) begins in Downtown New Orleans in front of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, runs participants through the French Quarter, and then all the way up beautiful Esplanade Avenue to New Orleans City Park.
During Easter weekend, the events surrounding the Crescent City Classic promise a jam-packed weekend. We host a two-day Health & Fitness Expo, which is free and open to the public, as well as throw one of the best post-race parties in road racing hosted by Michelob Ultra, and complete with live music and local creole cuisine!
For over 20 years, the Rock n Roll Marathon Series has made running fun by infusing each course with live bands, cheer teams and more. In 2019, we will continue to amplify your experience at the Humana Rock n Roll New Orleans Marathon & 1/2 with more music, runner support, and community engagement every step of the way. This is a fast, flat course that is complemented by historic houses, iconic landmarks, a post-race party you wont want to miss. With distances for everyone, we invite you, your friends and family to run with us in New Orleans in 2019!
Run down Metairie Road before the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, and don't miss your ONLY chance to qualify for the 2018 Crescent City Classic 10k at the 2-mile distance.
The race begins at 10:00 am outside Gennaro's bar on Metairie Rd. at N. Causeway. The 2-mile course will proceed down the parade route on Metairie Rd. finishing at Frisco, just before the train tracks and Winston's Pub & Patio, where the post-race party will take place!
