Get unmissable event (I'm still finishing my virtual version)
It was my first time doing the Bay to Breakers and I loved it and will be doing it again in the future
Loved it
We had a lot of fun. We did have a little trouble finding coral H, signage could be better. At the finish, since we were in the last group to finish, festivities ended rather quickly. Also, we were in the VIP group and wish that t-shirts had been given out in the VIP area. That said, we came from out of town, never having done the race, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We hope to be back next year with friends.
The race was okay, it seemed like no one out actual effort for the shirts though, plus there was no merch on sale
I have run B2B with my two kids for almost 10 years--not the last two of course. The run was great--what was awful was the logistics for getting the race shirt. The line was literally more than two hour long. After 45 minutes I gave up. I am waiting for the organizers to send me three shirts: size Medium, and two smalls. You guys can do much better.
I just want my results of my run that's all
Be prepared for a crowed high energy run that feels more like a party than a race! Most participants run in clever costumes, but it is not required (clothing in general is also not required). You will be cheered on for the entire race since a mass amount of people come to watch the run too. At the starting line, runners are grouped into corrals based on mile pace and you are sent to start from fastest to slowest. Be prepared to wait quite a while if you have a slower mile time.
What an amazing day! My first Bay to Breakers, and despite the rain in the morning., lived up to the hype in terms of atmosphere and organization! What exceeded expectations though was the actual run. I knew it would be a lot of fun, but kind of thought would get stuck in traffic, and not ultimately post a good time. Should you want to push yourself though, it is actually a great course, with plenty of space if you start in the right group, and a great mixture of flat and hills to test yourself! Definitely doing again!
