48th Annual North American Vasa Festival of Races

Welcome to the North American Vasa Festival of Races website! We're stoked to announce that this awesome event is taking place on Saturday, Feb. 10, and Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. The races will kick off and finish at Timber Ridge and will take you through the beautiful Vasa Pathway and Vasa Singletrack. Now in its 48th year, the North American Vasa is all about safety and top-notch competition. We have an action-packed schedule for 2024, featuring Freestyle and Classic ski races for all skill levels and ages, as well as Fatbike and Snow Shoe races. Here's an important registration update for 2024: During the registration process, skiers will be able to choose their preferred wave/corral to start in. If you're a pro skier, make sure to select the Elite wave/corral. And remember, while choosing your wave, be respectful of other skiers and pick the one that matches your ability. If you need assistance, we have a helpful 'Wave Selection Help' link to guide you. Please note that the VASA organization may assign skiers to a different wave if necessary. Now, let's talk about the exciting race challenges we have for you: The Michigan Cup Challenge includes the George Kuhn Half Marathon 27k Freestyle Ski Race on Saturday, followed by the Lombard Loppet 15k Classic on Sunday. This combo race aims to find the best all-round XC skiers! And the cool part is, if you register for both events at the same time, you'll get a $20 discount. Next up, we have the Collegiate Challenge, which consists of the Kortelopet 15k freestyle race on Saturday, and the 15k Lombard Loppet Classic on Sunday. College teams and individual collegiate skiers are welcome to join this challenge. And just like the Michigan Cup Challenge, you'll get a $20 discount if you register for both events together.
