9th Annual Fast & Furriest 5K/1M w/VIRTUAL OPTION

\*\*ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTIL 6:30AM ON RACE DAY\*\* Hey there! Just a quick heads up, online registration for our amazing event is open until 6:30 AM on race day. After that, you can still register on-site at the yellow check-in tent starting at 7 AM. Don't miss out on the fun! \*\*LIVE RACE/WALK TIMES:\*\* Here are the exciting race and walk times for the day: - 8:15 AM: 5K race - 9:00 AM: 1M walk And guess what? Before and after your scheduled event, take some time to visit our awesome vendors and check out our auction. It's going to be a blast! \*\*CHECK IN TIMES:\*\* For all you runners out there, check-in will be from 7:15 AM to 8:00 AM. If you're participating in the walk, your check-in is from 8:15 AM to 8:45 AM. It's super important to check-in within these times, so don't be late! \*\*WANT TO RUN WITH YOUR DOG?\*\* We absolutely love our furry friends! You can bring your leashed dogs along to run or walk the course. Just remember to have them on a 4-6 foot leash (no retractable leashes, please). And don't forget to register as "WITH DOG-LIVE 5K RUN" so we can easily spot and reward our amazing runners with dogs. You can change this category up until the start of the race. And the best part? ALL runners with dogs are eligible for age level awards. Woohoo! \*\*VIRTUAL RACE/WALK DATES:\*\* Can't make it to the physical event? No worries! We've got you covered. Our virtual race and walk will be held from Friday, April 26 through Monday, April 29. Participate wherever you are and show your support! \*\*RACE SHIRTS:\*\* To help reduce costs, we're offering shirts by reservation. So when you register, make sure to reserve your race shirt to ensure you get the perfect fit. The last date to register and receive a shirt is April 6. If you don't order a shirt (for on-site participants), we'll reduce your registration fee by $5. But remember, after April 6, the discount no longer applies. We'll have very few extra shirts available at check-in for $15, so make sure to reserve yours in advance. \*\*ON-SITE RUNNERS/WALKERS:\*\* If you're joining us at the physical event, please note that ONLY pre-ordered shirts will be distributed at check-in. So make sure you're registered by April 6 to secure your shirt. There won't be any extra shirts available, so grab yours while you can! \*\*VIRTUAL RUNNERS/WALKERS:\*\* For our virtual participants, shirts are an optional purchase when registering before April 6, 2024. Unfortunately, after April 6, virtual runners/walkers won't be able to order shirts. So don't miss the deadline! \*\*AWARDS (FOR RUNNERS ON SITE ONLY):\*\* Attention all on-site runners! We've got some exciting awards up for grabs. Here's what you can win: - Top Overall Male/Female - Top 3 Male/Female running with dogs (Remember to register as "WITH DOG-LIVE 5K RUN" to be eligible!) - Top 2 Male/Female in various age groups: 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-70, 70+ \*\*ON-SITE FOOD TRUCKS & VENDORS\*\* Get ready to satisfy your cravings! We'll have some fantastic food trucks on-site (stay tuned for their names!). And that's not all, we'll also have an exciting lineup of vendors. Get ready for some delicious treats and awesome shopping! The 9th Annual Fast & Furriest 5K race and 1M walk is an amazing event dedicated to supporting Operation Paws for Homes - an incredible dog rescue organization. We're proud to say that this event is one of our biggest fundraisers, aimed at raising funds for the medical needs of our furry friends. The race will take place on paved paths within the park grounds, with a few gravel crossing sites. And don't worry, we've made sure that runners and walkers won't overlap, so everyone can enjoy the course to the fullest. Every year, Operation Paws for Homes spends over $125,000 on medical expenses for the dogs in their care. In 2023, the costs exceeded $126,000. This event is our way of replenishing a portion of those funds. We invite families, runners, walkers, supporters, and anyone who wants to help this amazing organization while having a fantastic time. Along with our fabulous vendors and possibly some delicious food trucks, we'll have several DONATE and DASH items available. Just donate the suggested amount and take the goodies home with you. No bidding, no waiting, just donate and DASH! Spread the word to all your friends and family, no matter where they are located.
