Super Half Marathon & Game Day 5K

I've been running this race for years. The course is easy for first time marathoners, and there is ample parking. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Everyone at the race, including the participants encourage each other to have a good time and safe race.

Amazing race! This was my boyfriends first race ever and I think hes hooked.

I have been dealing with a glute injury since just before Christmas so this was more of a run than a race. The marching band from one of the high schools helps give it that "big game" feel while you are waiting for the race to start. Because of some construction on the Santa Fe trail there was a detour near the turn around that was less than scenic but fortunately that will not be a problem in the future. The biggest issue was the weather; it was low 40s at race start and the forecast was for it to warm throughout the day. The opposite happened and the temperature dropped 20 degrees before I finished. If people had known it was going to be in the low 20s with wind and flurries they would have dressed differently. This is obviously not something the RD or organizers could have anticipated.

This is a fun race. Not too big, but well organized.

Great local race. Huge showing so there are runners of all abilities. Weather can always be crazy this time of year in the Springs. But you cant go wrong with a fun race to pregame the super bowl.

I enjoyed the race itself, it food get cold but that is on the race to prepare for. Plenty of water stations for the half. Couse was well marked. Even though I didn't personally have the best run I still was able to meet my goal of sub 2 hours. Great job everyone.

It was a pretty chill race. Couldn't ask for an easier course. My only beef is the other athletes who start up front to walk from the start line. Always causes a bit of frustration.

I mainly run trails, but this is a really fun race. Always well organized and a good vibe.

Starting line could have been segmented better. Having runners lineup by estimated minutes per mile would have alleviated some of the narrow portions of the trail. Course not wide enough for the amount of participants.
