Did the 5k Run in 2018

I ran this event last year and was delighted to find a discount code for 2019! Upon entering the code, my registration was free- that was several months ago. Now I just got an email indicating that THEY made an error and the code was intended on being only for 10% off and that they had cancelled my registration. I spoke with a representative and have been told that over 700 had this also happen to them. Rather than honoring what my registration was, they would rather lose business- at this point it isn't about the money but really about the poor customer service offering 30%. In any other business the customer would not be forced to pay for a company's error- extremely disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere
  • Did the 5k Run in 2018

As someone who lives in Long Beach, it was not difficult to navigate through the area and parking situation. There seemed to be a great traffic flow, it was not jam-packed with cars. It was a beautiful run along the water, hardly any incline and only one set of 2-step stairs to run through, with proper signage so runners could not miss it and trip. The 10K departs first and due to the trail being back and forth, you do run into 10K runners on their back half of the race, but only for a short while. It makes for a great cheering session. Participants dressed up and it made the ambiance more fun as well. Overall a fun time!
