Route information
A great and wonderful occasion full of life to be a part of. You will have the chance to walk or run the courses of your choice. There will be a 3.25 hour time limit for the Half Marathon and a 1 hour limit for the 5k.
Finish line festival
Both the Half Marathon and 5k finish at beautiful Balboa Park (near the intersection of Park Boulevard and Presidents Way), where finishers can relax, celebrate and reunite with loved ones. Post-race festivities include live music, refreshments and a beer garden for participants.

For the half marathon, the shuttle buses will leave from the finish area from 4:00am- 5:15am. There are two bus stops where you can catch the bus to the start area.
- The southwest corner of Presidents Way and Park Boulevard
- The corner of Zoo Place and Park Boulevard
Directions
The half marathon and 5K finish in Balboa Park near the intersection of Park Boulevard and Presidents Way. This is also where the half marathon start line shuttle pickup takes place as well as the post-race Finish Line Festival.
Parking
Public parking is available throughout Balboa Park and the surrounding area. Allow yourself at least an extra 30 minutes for parking.
The largest parking lots are off Park Blvd. at the intersections of Park Blvd./Zoo Place and Park Blvd./Presidents Way. Both lots are close to a bus loading location for the half marathon start line. All half marathon participants must take the bus to the start line.
The closest parking lot to the 5k start/finish line is the lot at Park Blvd./Presidents Way.

FAQs
What amenities are offered on the Half Marathon course for America's Finest City Half Marathon & 5k?
Water and Nuun electrolyte replacement will be served along the course and portable toilets will be located at each of the support stations.
Where do I pick up my awards or America's Finest City Half Marathon & 5k?
All awards will be available for pickup from the Information Booth. 5K awards will be available after 8:00am and half marathon awards will be available after 9:00am.
Are strollers allowed for America's Finest City Half Marathon & 5k?
Not in the half marathon, due to a steep downhill on the half marathon course. Strollers are allowed in the 5k but must line up towards the back of the pack at the start line.
