Antelope Island Marathon routes

The Full Marathon course is very scenic. Starting at the Marina of Antelope Island runners run the Half Course out and back. This course starts out of the marina and heads West around a loop on Antelope Island. This loop connects back to Antelope Island Road and heads South to Garr Fielding Ranch. This route is primarily on the East side of the island overlooking Davis County and the Great Salt Lake to the East. This route is 100% paved but off the pavement you will see herds of Bison (Buffalo) and other wildlife like deer, coyote and more. Truly a breath taking route feeling like you are in the old frontier.

Half Marathon
The Half Marathon course starts near the South end of Antelope Island near Garr Fielding Ranch. This course heads north 9.5 Miles across Antelope Island with wildlife to the West and the Great Salt Lake to the East. The sunrise is incredible on the Great Salt Lake with Layton City in the background. At Mile 9.5 the runners will make a left turn West and follow a loop around the West side of the island. Views here of Bridger Bay(Named after Jim Bridger) and some of Elephant Rock. The loop will continue around the island until you finish at the Maina. The Marina is the finish for all four courses and the location where you will park your car and load the bus this year.

The 10K course is 100% on Antelope Island. This course starts at the Marina and runs Southwest around a the North Loop of Antelope Island. The course is out and back. Aid stations on this route are at Mile 1.55 and Mile 3.1 which is the turn around. Mile 1.55 aid station is repeated on the way back (at Mile 4.65). Aid station includes Water, Powerade, Cups, and a porta potty.

The Antelope Island 5K is 100% on Antelope Island and starts at the Marina and runs out Southwest. This course is out and back on the same route as the Marathon. 5K runners turn around at Mile 1.55 or the first aid station. This one aid station is stocked with Water, Powerade, a restroom and of course cups.

Our volunteers are the best primarily due to them being runners themselves or family of runners and they know what a runner needs. It is not just about handing out water but the attitude of the volunteers that make a huge difference at our races. A motivated volunteer makes for a faster racer on the course. We do an awesome volunteer program. If you volunteer for one of our races we give you a $50 credit towards a future race within 13 months of the race you volunteered. If you choose to volunteer fill in the form on the official event website.
After the race please fill in the redemption form to claim your credit. Without the redemption form we will not know what race to give you credit.
