Route information
Take on the Arizona Spartan Trifecta Weekend, a two-day event full of tough obstacles and challenging terrain. Starting at the Phoenix Raceway just 30 minutes from downtown Phoenix, NASCAR fans can enjoy running on the track itself, as well as on the trails in the surrounding area. Runners will get to see the Gila River and the expansive Estrella Mountain Regional Page.
Each course will have a different number of obstacles. The Beast 21k will have 30 obstacles, the Super 10k will have 25 obstacles, and the Sprint 5k will have 20 obstacles.
This event is a Trifecta Weekend, meaning runners can take part in the main there courses, the Sprint 5k, the Super 10k & the Beast 21k, and receive all three parts of the Trifecta Medal over two days. Buy the Trifecta Pass to receive a discount and a Spartan+ membership for 1 year.

Each course will have a different number of obstacles. The Beast 21k will have 30 obstacles, the Super 10k will have 25 obstacles, and the Sprint 5k will have 20 obstacles.

Waves of 250 runners will leave from the start line every 15 minutes.

FAQ's
Can I skip an obstacle at the Arizona Spartan Trifecta Weekend? Is there a penalty?
NO. Skipping obstacles is not part of the Spartans' ethos. Obstacles are there to be overcome!
Spartan races strongly discourage skipping obstacles without at least giving them a try, as it is unfair to others that do attempt them.
However, if there is an obstacle that you simply cannot overcome despite your effort and you NEED to miss it out, the forfeit is completing a set of burpees before you are allowed to move on. That can add up to a lot of burpees if you have to miss every obstacle, so come with a positive mindset that you can overcome any obstacle on the course.
Will there be photos of the Arizona Spartan Trifecta Weekend?
5-7 days after the event, the event page will display professional photos from the event completely free of charge! You will be emailed when your personal photos are ready.
Can I take part as a team in the Arizona Spartan Trifecta Weekend?
Yes, a lot of teams take part in Spartan races in the Open heats. There are discounts and offers available for teams, so get a group of friends together for the challenge! Your friendship might be tested in some of the difficult stages, but it will be stronger than ever afterwards once you've been through it all together.
