Athens Half Marathon & 5K

Runners will enjoy a gorgeous autumn-time run beginning in downtown Athens then heading to the historic Boulevard, Normaltown, and Cobbham neighborhoods. The course will continue to wind past the gorgeous Greek houses and Five Points area where energetic spectators flock and cheer as they drink their morning coffee. The last miles of the course weave thru the UGA campus before heading into Sanford Stadium for the finish. And in AthHalf tradition, we’ll have live music throughout the course to keep you energized and having fun!

And we’ve seen them…your family and friends at the finish line cheering you on who think you’re nuts for running 13.1 miles while most of the city is still in their pj’s. They’re out there cheering for you and we love them for it, but we know they want to be part of the AthHalf fun as well and they can be with the AthHalf 5K on Sat., Oct. 26th. The 5K will occur during the AthHalf Health and Fitness Expo. You’ll be at the Expo anyway to pick-up your race packet, so you might as well run a 5K to loosen up while you’re there, right?! Bring your family and friends to run it too so they can enjoy the fun and spirit of the AthHalf community. The 5K will be a 3.1 mile loop that begins and ends at the Expo location.
