Route information
The Marathon will start at 2nd & Congress and end at 9th & Congress. Along the route, athletes are treated to a picturesque tour of Austin, running past landmarks like the Colorado River, SoCo, Hyde Park and the University of Texas before finishing in front of the iconic Texas State Capitol.

By Car
Downtown traffic will be busy around race weekend so it is encouraged to plan ahead. There is paid car parking on site ($7).
By Bike
To avoid parking fees and traffic, make use of the cycle racks on site. There are also two Austin B-Cycle stations around the Palmer Events Centre.
By Bus / Metro Rail
Transit Routes: 1, 7, 10, 20, 30, 300, and 801 will get you there!

Getting to the Start Line
There is plenty of parking in the downtown area within walking distance of the start line. Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before your start time.

Pace Groups
There will be pace groups based on marathon times to help athletes reach their goals.
Mile Markers
There will be course markers every mile and digital clocks every 5k.
Aid Stations
There will be 22 aid stations along the course offering water, BPN electrolyte drinks, medical support and restrooms. There will also be 2 stations offering BPN Go Gels at miles 9 & 20.
Cut Off Times
Due to the re-opening of the closed roads, athletes will need to maintain a minimum average pace per mile.
Austin Marathon = 16-minute pace (7 hours)
Austin Half Marathon = 18-minute pace (4 hours)
5K = 19-minute pace (1 hour)
