Bakersfield has countless ways to enjoy the outdoors from its museums, county parks to river rafting and diners.
Join local runners who will have an opportunity to run a Boston qualifying marathon in their own backyard alongside participants from across the US and the globe for an adventure to run a full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k A race for the whole family! The beauty of the race is throughout the runners will cross some exciting spots like the Financial district, Kern County Museum before returning to the finish line on the scenic Kern River Parkway.
Throughout the course there will be exciting areas to socialize with friends, families and participants with the beer garden, food and festival areas which will range from 8am to 3pm.

Vechile Parking
Parking on the CSUB campus is complimentary throughout race day, designated slots will be allocated. Some lots are only accessible via certain campus entrances at certain times.
Southwest drive
Enter the campus from the south. From Camino Media take Southwest Drive. Make first left and first right and follow curve to lots A, B, and C. These lots stop accepting new vehicles at 6:30am and will remain locked until 8:00am.
Vendor and volunteer entrance on Krool Way
Enter the campus form the east. Use Kroll Way and turn right on Don Hart East for lot J. This lot stops accepting new vehicles at 6:30am and will remain locked until 2:30pm.
Spectator and guest entrance
Enter the campus form the east. Use Kroll Way towards Don Hart East for lots K2 & K3. These lots are open and accessible all day.
Overflow parking
Enter the campus from the South. From Camino Media take Roadrunner Drive to lots H & I. These lots are open and accessible all day.

The race packet pickup will be located at Buck Owens' Crystal Palace. You will be able to pick up your race packet between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

On this occasion unfortunately not, however look into the event and book in advance as the Bakersfield Marathon will be one not to miss!

Can my friends and family see me along the Bakersfield Marathon?
Yes, there are many accessible points around the course for spectators. Keep in mind that street closures may alter driving routes.

Are dogs allowed on the Bakersfield Marathon?
No. Pets, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters or bicycles of any kind are not allowed on the course for safety concerns.
