Who will win the Bayou Bucket? Students, Alumni and all other fans are invited to participate and contend for the Bayou Bucket! When you register for the race - choose your side! Rice University fans will receive a NAVY race shirt and University of Houston fans will receive a RED race shirt! Each registration also includes a ticket to the Rice vs Louisiana Tech game!

Route information
The course is flat and fast starting in the West Stadium lot and runs clockwise around the Rice University campus.
You will finish the race on the 50 Yard line in Rice Stadium with a live finisher feed being broadcast on the JumboTron screen.
Water stations are located every 2 miles and at the finish.
The 5K and 10K course both have a course cut off time of 9:30am. Due to the strictness of county road usage and approvals on permits we have to make sure we are on and off the roads within certain time allowances.

- All participants receive a chip timed race, Bayou Bucket 5K finisher medal and unisex t-shirt in red or blue.
- Each registration also includes a ticket to the Rice vs Louisiana Tech game
- KidsK participants receive a tech t-shirt and finisher medal.
