BE HAPPY 5K/10K

The kids 1K will begin at 7:30 a.m., fun runners will begin at the Villages entrance and run an action packed 0.6 miles on a (safe and) closed loop finishing in front of the Villages Clubhouse. This closed community will be alive with the cheers of supporters and and the Official Be Happy Cheer Squad rooting everyone on!

The 5K and 10K races will begin promptly and concurrently at 8 a.m. starting with a 0.7 mile loop through the vibrant development at the Villages at Poquonock before turning left out onto the scenic streets of this beautiful town. All runners will follow Poquonock Ave for 0.2 miles before turning left onto Rainbow Road. The 5K runners will turn around at the intersection of Rainbow Road and High Street and head back down Rainbow to Poquonock before returning to the Villages to complete their final half loop stretch - ending with a celebration at the community clubhouse to celebrate with food, drink, and music! The 10K runners will continue through the intersection following Rainbow Road through the rolling hills turning left onto the scenic Merriman Rd and then left down to Rainbow Reservoir - turing around after the steep hill down and right before running into the cool water - we won't tell if you take a quick swim ;) Wet or not - runners will run back up the hill and back down Merriman Rd to Rainbow Rd to the Villages where they will complete their final half loop stretch at the community clubhouse to celebrate with food, drink, and music!
