Beat the Train 5K

Ever dreamt of taking on a TRAIN? Well, now you can make that dream a reality! Join us on Saturday, November 4, 2023, and register to race against the Coopersville/Marne locomotive. We're back in Coopersville this year, though you can also choose to be dropped off at the starting point. The speed of the train will be determined by the average estimated finish time of ALL registrants. So, no matter your pace, get ready for your best 5K time ever. We're confident you'll have a blast! And the best part? All finishers will receive a well-deserved finisher medal. Here's the nitty-gritty: - Limited to 300 runners (so make sure to register ASAP) - Train transportation to the starting point (2.5 miles away) - Registration entry fee of $36, with an optional $15 t-shirt - Price increases for registration on Sept. 25, Oct. 8, Oct. 29, and Nov. 3. Race day registration will be $10 more. - The 5K course is flat and fast, with a partial lane closure on the main road. - A portion of the race proceeds will go back to the Friends of the Coopersville & Marne Railroad.
