Route description
Route description

An absolutely gorgeous event that showcases everything that California has to offer from the top of the highest mountains through the ancient redwood forests all the way to the coastline. Thankfully with the start being at approximately 2,500 feet runners will have a largely downhill route, but be warned this can be brutal on those knees.

Logistics and schedule

Schedule:

8:00 - 8:45AM - Race Number & Bib pick up

9:00AM - 50K and Marathon Start

Please allow enough time to get parked, registered and warmed up before the start of your event.

Spectators

Spectators are encouraged to get down and cheer on their family and friends as they take on this epic race. The beautiful views and the redwood forests make for a beautiful picnic, but please note that the start and finish is not at the same place so you should aim to meet runners at the end of their race.

Volunteers

Volunteers are a huge part of bringing Coastal Trail Run's epic races to life. Roles vary from race-to-race but often include manning aid stations, helping at registration, or distributing those cherished finisher's medals.

In return, you will receive a 'standard' entry into a race if you help for 5 hours, $25 discount (2 hours), or $15 (1 hour).
