BIGDOGBRAG is a 5k and 2k Colorado mud obstacle event that over 20,000 BIG DOGS have enjoyed since 2012. BIGDOGBRAG is the race anyone can start AND finish with 25 fun and challenging obstacles to experience.

Outrageous 5K: 25 obstacles, ages 12 and over

Family-friendly 2K: 15 obstacles

Little Dog 2K: 15 obstacles, ages 5-11

Outrageous 5K

The 5k course is doable by anyone at any fitness level but will challenge even the rugged, the tough, the spartan and the warriors of the world. We invite you to experience a unique 5k course with 25 obstacles built into the natural terrain of Colorado. This course includes a dozen creative mud pits designed to get you as muddy as possible. You can skip any obstacles you like, stop and cheer your fellow mud mates or challenge yourself to complete the course without stopping. Run it, jog it, walk it or a combination of all three. Wherever you are on your fitness journey is exactly where you participate in the BIGDOGBRAG! We are excited to have you join the MUDDY MADNESS!!

Family Friendly & Little Dog 2K

The 2k course is the first half of the 5k course…these aren’t 15 kiddie obstacles…they are designed for both adults and kids to have fun and be challenged together! Nine of the 15 obstacles are muddy pits designed to make sure you are covered from head to toe in mud! So if you’re wanting the same great FUN without all the RUN…this is the race for you! Create a memory with your family and friends and sign up for a MUDDY GOOD TIME TOGETHER!

After you park and be nice to our barking guides. If you haven’t picked up your packet come straight to the check in tent (there will be signs everywhere), check in, get your bib and get ready run.

FAQs

What happens if it rains?

We bark, howl, and do a dance of celebration! More MUD..More FUN! Seriously, if the weather or terrain is too dangerous because of weather, we will cancel the event and move it to the next possible date.

What if I can't get over an obstacle?

If you can’t or don’t want to do any particular obstacle, that is perfectly fine. Go at your own pace…no worries! Have fun! You’ll still receive your finisher medal and BIG DOG BRAGGIN’ RIGHTS!

Will there be showers available?

There will be a Dog Wash station to rinse off the worst of it…so you can get into a change of clothes. That does not mean full blown showers with hot water, soap, hair dryers and towels! Remember, this is a mud run in the middle of nowhere so be sure to bring a towel and another set of clothes or something to cover the seats in your car! Shoes can be donated to a non-profit that cleans them up and sends them to third world countries.

How long does it take to complete the course?

Faster runners may complete the 5k in about 30 minutes, but most runners will take 60-90 minutes. The 2k course is totally about fun and taking your time to enjoy the obstacles and the mud…it’s a mile of fun, obstacles and mud! Nobody on our staff cares how long it takes you to get done as long as your having fun…we’re having fun!
